As posted on iOS 10.3 is here: Everything you need to know
Time to update your Apple devices!
It’s that time of year again. Apple has released iOS 10.3 to all users today as a free update that can be downloaded over the air or via iTunes (for whoever does that). There are also updates for macOS, tvOS and watchOS. We’re still a while away from the iPhone 8, but the new iOS 10.3 is full of small UI changes and some larger internal updates.
Siri now supports cricket sports scores and statistics for the upcoming IPL and ICC. You can ask for stats of individual players or hit Siri with questions like, “When is the next cricket match?” The feature works on both iOS and macOS. Siri also now works with apps on your watch.
Night Shift is finally coming to your Mac to replace f.lux (yes, that’s spelled right) and help you sleep better at night. Also coming to the Mac is dictation support for Shanghainese. On watchOS, Theater Mode keeps the screen dark until you tap it. On tvOS, an all new Rentals in the Cloud feature allows users to watch iTunes movie rentals across all your Apple devices.
The new version of iOS will also bring a brand new file system with the release for your iPhone. The update will be automatic and unnoticeable to you. Developers were also warned that future versions of iOS may not support their apps in iOS 11.
